Trailr is a career intelligence platform built and operated by LightHouse Venture Studio (“we”, “us”, “our”). When you use Trailr, your contractual and data relationship is with LightHouse Venture Studio.

When you register, complete assessments, and navigate career paths on Trailr, we collect:

• Account Information: Name, email address, username, password hash, and date of birth (collected to verify minimum age eligibility).
• Academic & Profile Information: Academic standing (secondary, undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate), Course of Study (Degree / Major), institution attended, city, country, bio, and career persona.
• Psychometric & Career Assessment Data: Responses to RIASEC diagnostic assessments, resulting Holland personality codes, trait scores, and generated career matches.
• Platform Activity & Progress: Enrolled career trails, task completions, experience points (XP), leaderboard positions, streak activity, and reported resource links.
• Technical Data: Device details, browser user-agent, IP address, and secure session tokens used for authentication.

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and applicable regulations, we process your data under the following lawful bases:

• Performance of Contract: To deliver personalized career roadmaps, generate tasks, track completion milestones, and maintain your account.
• Legitimate Interests: To analyze platform engagement, refine our career matching algorithms, maintain leaderboard integrity, and produce aggregated, fully anonymized workforce readiness reports for academic and research partners. (No individual user is identifiable in aggregated datasets.)
• Consent: For optional notifications or voluntary profile enhancements.

To deliver tailored career paths and task curricula, Trailr transmits select profile attributes (such as course of study and personality scores) to secure enterprise third-party foundational models and cloud infrastructure partners. We ensure all transmissions are governed by strict data processing safeguards, and diagnostic inputs are not sold or utilized by third parties for independent marketing purposes.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account remains active. Upon requesting account deletion, all personally identifiable records are permanently purged or anonymized within 30 days, except where retention is strictly mandated by financial record-keeping laws or legitimate legal defense requirements.

In accordance with the NDPA 2023 and NDPR, you possess the right to:

• Request confirmation of and access to your personal data.
• Rectify inaccurate or incomplete academic and profile details.
• Request erasure of your account and personal history.
• Object to or restrict specific processing operations.

Trailr relies exclusively on secure, necessary first-party session cookies and tokens essential to authenticate users. We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking pixels.
